South Holland, and Spalding in particular, is the centre of a local and global industry that brings fresh and prepared food to the nation's tables as well as flowers to decorate their homes.
Many of the fresh vegetables such as Brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflowers and cabbages, that end up on the dinner plate of people around the country, are grown right here in and around Spalding.
In addition to the flowers and produce that is grown locally there are a number of organisations who import further supplies from around the world.
