Crowland - Abbey and Trinity Bridge
The town of Crowland (originally known as Croyland) was founded by St Guthlac but it was not until after his death that the Abbey was built. This was at the order of King Ethelbald who had sought spiritual guidance from the monk. For further information visit http://www.croylandabbey.co.uk or tel 01733 210763.
Trinity Bridge, is a 14th century, 3-way bridge that was originally built over an earlier bridge dating from 943. It's unique triangular shape originated from the need to cross two closely adjacent rivers.
