Living or Relaxing by the River

Spalding has a number of both traditional and modern housing developments facing the river. The traditional element includes 3 story Georgian townhouses, whilst the more modern homes have been either purpose built or are the result of transforming former warehouses into very desirable living space.
The River Welland and the Coronation Channel are both popular with fishermen who can be seen sitting, with their rods and nets, at many times of the year.
It is also possible to travel leisurely along the river, on the water taxi journey, which runs between the town centre to Springfields Outlet Shopping and Festival Gardens.
Finally, just walk or sit by the water, taking in the sights and sounds of Spalding life going on around.
